Yes, there is. You know, reading postings on newsgroups is really a great way to get some salary information. As an experiment, I tried this: I went to http://www.dejanews.com/ and searched on "salary+information". I got almost 124,000 hits. Then I narrowed it down to "California+salary+information" and got about 4200 hits. I also posted questions to newsgroups . . .

The downside: you may need this information in a hurry and it takes a LOT of time.
